The website for Warwick Neck says ‘Where It’s All About The Quality Of Life.’  And that pretty much sums up the world of Warwick Neck.  Central to the area is it’s Lighthouse, down at the bottom of the Neck, which has safeguarded seafarers since 1826.  Currently the Coast Guard maintains this green flashing beacon which earns the distinction of being the last traditional lighthouse built in Rhode Island.

There are many historical aspects to this close-knit community but it is best represented by the Aldrich Mansion, Warwick Neck, reclining on a glorious, seventy-five acre estate overlooking that most scenic of Rhode Island waters, Narragansett Bay.  Today it is open for those wanting that perfect setting of beauty and elegance for a wedding or an impressive, well-run facility for a conference or business meeting.  But remember that back in the early twentieth century, the Mansion was the expansive home for Rhode Island native,  Senator Nelson W. Aldrich.  And it was at the Mansion that the Senator’s daughter Abby Aldrich wed John D. Rockefeller, Jr.  History has its residence here.
