If you don’t want the responsibility of a home, don’t buy one!
Owning a home requires upkeep including regular maintenance and repairs when things go wrong or stop operating correctly.  It can be a bit scary after you move into your first home and realize the responsibility you have just acquired.
When inspection time takes place during a home purchase, many buyers request everything that comes up in the inspection report be taken care of by the sellers so they don't have to deal with it after move in.  Although buyers have the right to ask specific inspection items to be taken care of, sellers in Colorado Springs can refuse to make the repairs and terminate the contract.  Let's face it, when you buy a home, it's likely going to need some sort of repair.  Even new homes are not perfect!  Of course, there are major problems that can arise out of an inspection including structural issues or costly repairs and if not addressed may be good reason for a buyer to move on to another property.
