A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words--Which Thousand Words Does Your Listing Portray?
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words--Which Thousand Words Does Your Listing Portray?
We've all heard the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words". Why is it then so many REALTORS® put terrible photographs of their listings on the MLS (multiple listing service).
These are the photographss buyers will see on the internet as they search for a new home. Listing agents know buyers view these photographs closely to determine which homes they would like to see.
Do these listing agents actually want buyers to visit the home?  How could they post something that is so bad.  It reflects poorly on the house and even more poorly on the listing agent.
Take the photo to the right for example. What does that photograph say to you? Does this home invite you in? Would this picture encourage you to go see this listing?
Would you believe this photograph is from an expired listing in Franklin TN once listed for $1.3M? That's right $1.3M.
What words do you want your photographs to evoke when your listing agent puts them on the MLS?
Do you want the words to be beautiful, stunning, luxurious, spacious, well-lit, fresh, warm ... more
