We Have A Situation...
A few years back when our girls were in high school, we were all four away for the weekend. Naturally, we had locked all the doors and set the alarm before we left. Our oldest daughter’s boyfriend must not have gotten the memo because when he came to the back door and no one answered, he used the hidden key to let himself in. He knew where the hidden key was, but he did not know the code for the alarm. When it went off, knowing he was in a precarious position, he “fled the scene.” A few minutes later, the police arrived. When they were unable to get anyone to the door, and the back door was unlocked, they decided to enter the house to make sure everything was okay.
Now, before I continue I should remind you that we have a large parrot in the house – a macaw – and he can say certain words and phrases with the clarity of a person. And, perhaps equally as relevant, he can spew these words and phrases LOUDLY when he decides to. That said, let me get back to the story.
