Looking for a Great West Los Angeles Coffee Shop Try Peet's

If you are looking for a friendly place to sit read your newspaper, or use the wifi to check your email on your laptop in West Los Angeles, then Peet's is the place. First opened in 1966 in Berkeley, CA by Alfred Peet, Peet's Coffee and Tea became a gathering place for coffee lovers. Alfred Peet actually mentored the founders of Starbucks and supplied them with the coffee for their first three years in business. There are approximately nine stores on the Westside of Los Angeles, but the one I frequent is by far the best.
Located at 1854 Westwood Blvd. (just south of Santa Monica Blvd.) this Peet's is a true neighborhood cafe. The baristas are extremely friendly and know all their regular customers by name. The store is a magnet for the locals and if you sit there long enough, someone you know will come in. You may even have time to talk to them if you can tear yourself away from the friends you have made there.
