CARY NC  Single Family Homes from $400-500,000 CARY NC Single family homes from $400-500,000 are plentiful in our market both form national builders and local custom builders.  This price point will get you on average a third acre, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, bonus room, 2/3 car garages, and numerous custom features.   A few thing I should mention about our market.  Three car garages are not the norm.  In recent years we've begun to see more, however 2 car garages are our standard.  It may stem from not needing to store so many season items. Another item that is not a norm is a basement.  I know, its unheard of for those of you from the north.  Our soil is clay.  Clay and basements do not mix.  Clay retains moisture, moisture creates mold and mildew, mold and mildew and human do not mix.   We do have walk out basements, usually at a premium beginning in the $400-500,000 price range.
