My Baby Started First Grade...
I have been blessed to be able to take my daughter to work with me since she was born, so this is the first time that she has been away from me full time.  It's strange.  I have worked my schedule around her schedule most of the last six years.  I worked from home as my schedule permitted, brought her to the office as needed, and I did have the help of a wonderful part time day care provider for days that I had meetings.  My husband has been amazing, stepping up when I have evening meetings and client calls.  I am probably going through a tougher time than she is, but I am making it work!!

Sydney started first grade at Lamb of God in Halethorpe, MD.  It's a wonderful school that has kindergarten through 8th grade.  There are just over 150 kids in the entire school, with only one class per grade.  It is a small school with big heart.  The teachers and administrators truly love the kids and love what they do. Some of the teachers are teaching the children of children they taught!  A wonderful legacy I think.  They encourage the children to reach their highest potential and provide them ... more
