Florida Insurance Rates
Hello Folks,
This post goes out to those members in Florida and any consumers who have real estate in the State of Florida. As we all know the cost for hazard Insurance in our state has gone up considerably in the past few years. I see this first hand because we generally secure insurance quotes from various Insurance companies as we work on financing a client's loan. In the past couple of years it was not uncommon for us to see insurance premiums range from $1,800.00 to $2,800.00 for homes with values from $250,000.00 to $325,000.00.
I have always had one preferred Insurance company that generally gave us the best quotes every time. Although we would still get quotes from other providers, this one company always came in lowest. Well, a few weeks ago I requested a quote for a client buying a home for $225,00.00. The insurance quote came in at $918.00. When I first looked at this I thought there was a mistake, so I called the provider and sure enough, no mistake was made. That was an accurate quote.
