  SUNNYLANDS OPEN TO PUBLIC MARCH 1ST!
After more than 50 years...the public will finally be able to see what is behind those pink walls!
Next week when Modernism Week kicks off here in the desert visitors will get to visit the famous Annenberg estate.  Tickets for tours during Modernism Week are already sold out-- but March 1st you will be able to come inside the Anneberg Estate for home tours and visit the Sunnylands Center & Gardens which include a cafe and gift shop.
According to todays Desert Sun, the 25,000-square-foot Annenberg home — one of the largest midcentury modern homes ever built — was designed by Los Angeles architect A. Quincy Jones. Everything inside the historic estate is original, with the exception of the Annenberg's famous collection of paintings, which were donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. After more than 50 years...the public will finally be able to see what is behind those pink walls!
Since 1966, the property has hosted seven U.S. presidents and several dignitaries and celebrities, from Sammy Davis Jr. to Bill Gates and Queen Elizabeth, many of whom enjoyed the home's 22 bedrooms, nine-hole golf course and 11 lakes.
