I Lost My Best Friend Today....
 March 11th....is the day that we will always remember....my Father passed away nine years ago today...I miss him every day and hope that he would be proud of me...of all his children....and know that my Mother, at 90, and each of us work to that goal every day. 
   About a month ago....we had our vet the house....and both Cosmo and Magic got their physicals. Cosmo is 18 and Magic is 8. Cosmo was losing weight but still eating and playing and being my best friend....knowing when I needed cuddling, a kiss, a snuggle. And early this evening...Cosmo, on the very same day....and nearly at the same time...went to be with my Dad and give him the snuggles and kisses that we no longer can.  The tears flow freely as I write this...it is a kind of therapy for me. We know that had a long and lovely life....and he was all the best of a best friend any one could want or need. Here is is...he had a tail he was especially proud of....always regally high in the air...and a sort of mane that made him so much the friendly lion.
     I love you Cosmo...you have just left us ... more
