Good quality color photographs of homes for sale go without saying - or at least they should!  Having participated in two real estate webinars and one live seminar last week on the importance of taking and presenting good quality, color photographs of homes for sale (both exterior and interior shots) on behalf of sellers I am very appreciative that my father’s training as a professional photographer led me to receive some excellent lessons from him when I was young.  I started off with a “box brownie” camera and went on to a single lens reflex camera when I was a young adult.  All the photographs I took of homes for sale in England in my early real estate career were with my single lens reflex camera, manually set, adjusted for light, time of day, color of the image etc., even though the resulting photographs were all in black and white and of an excellent quality I might add. 
 
When I chose my first digital camera with interchangeable lenses about 10 years ago I made sure that I could switch it from automatic to manual when required.  In the intervening 20 years I had more or less forgotten the power of ... more
