Can I sell any property in Missouri?-Yes!
A lot of people generally know I usually stay close to Table Rock Lake area in my sphere of sales. But sometimes people ask me to sell in other towns nearby that are not in my MLS. Usually I tell sellers that it would do them better to list with a local agent and then refer the business over. But on the other hand with a buyers agent, by law myself-I can sell anything in the state since I have a Missouri license. If someone will ask me to write a contract and represent them as a buyers agent, I keep in mind if I know the market where they are buying. In some cases I've done this for buyers in Nixa or Ozark, and usually on homes that are for sale by HUD or Fannie Mae. Another interesting perception with buyers is that some may think you should just call the listing agent on the foreclosures. Not true at all...buyers agents are always welcome on foreclosures and usually it is recommended to have an agent representing your side. Plus it is easier on the listing agent, since so much is involved with communications with Fannie and Freddie. So the answer ... more
