To the First Man to Make Me Feel Like a Princess..Happy Father’s Day. Although my father is no longer with us, I know that in his eyes I could do no wrong.  He made me feel like I was a Princess.  And while I never (for the most part) gave him reason to think otherwise,  I was, as every daughter knows,  “Daddy’s Little Girl”.    Fathers often get the short end of the Hallmark /Special Day treatment.  You know what I mean.... Mother’s Day is a hallowed day, with roses and gifts, and breakfasts in bed.  And that’s as it should be.   But what about Dads?   Many will be outdoors cooking on the grill, or watching the US Open.  Perhaps they will have time to even hit some golf balls themselves.  But they just never seem to get the accolades that Moms do. So to all the Dads out there, and that includes Uncles, Grandfathers,  and Father figures ….. thank you.
Thank you for showing us how to throw a football and swing a baseball bat.

Thank you for attending our games and recitals, sitting for hours when you’d rather be at home after working all day.
