Coping With Stress
As I am sure you are all very aware, our profession can be extremely stressful. You can spend hours and hours putting a deal together only to have it fall out at the eleventh hour. At times you have to deal with buyers and sellers who are just as stressed out as you are, and act out accordingly. Sometimes you get blamed for occurences that you have no control of, and situations that aren't your fault. It seems like some Realtors are in the business just to have something to do and don't take their job seriously. You call and email them to get something done, and you don't hear back from them. It all adds up and sometimes makes you feel like your head is about to explode.
If you let it, stress can take over your whole life. It can affect your relationships with both your co-workers and your family. When the pressure starts to get to me, I just stop and think for a minute. There is only so much you can control in your life. I can't control what the market is doing, I can just do my best.
