We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it!
We have all heard the expression: “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it!”
The phrase is often used to forgo something unpleasant that could be addressed at the present time, but instead is left to run its own due course in hopes that the matter will take care of itself.
It all depends on whether you choose to be proactive or reactive. In many cases, procrastination nudges us towards the latter attribute. Many of us enjoy flying by the “seat of our pants.” There is an adrenaline rush and accompanying thrill that comes from averting a crisis.
But often, a little precaution could have prevented the problem from fomenting in the first place.
It may make life dull, but it can be a lot less stressful!
