I'd much rather have tried and failed than never even tried. Regret is a terrible emotion, and I'm sure that I'm more likely to regret the things I didn't do than the things I did do but failed. Even when it's scary - prospecting, cold calling  - I would rather know they didn't want to sign with me than wonder if they would have signed if I had asked for the sale.  That slightly eccentric marketing tool might be a little brash, but if I don't try it, I'll never know if it would work.
I'd also rather finish last than not finish at all. It may take me a long time to accomplish my goals - there are lots of side trips, challenges, and distractions - but, you'd better believe this - I'm going to get there. I don't have my first million yet, but there will be a day when it's a memory rather than a goal.
And when I get to the finish line? You can be sure there's another goal in front of me :)
