Living a simple life...
Last Sunday me and a group of friends spent the day in Gloucester, were we went to enjoy a Whale Watch trip. There were 11 of us and while sitting on the curb, waiting for the time to leave, we shared snacks and drinks, jokes and laughs, then the time came and we enjoyed a magnificent day on the Hurricane - from Cape Ann Whale Watch, with the whales giving us a private show (at least that is how it felt - I have over 250 pics to prove it...), then we went to get ice cream and sit on the beach to chat before coming back home.
We talked about lots of things, as you can imagine, but one of the conversations that stuck to me was about how simpler life used to be, how things where different from our hi-speed, high technology, our 'ican't' live without google, facebook or twitter world we and our children live today. It made me think about how machine oriented we are, how lost we can become when we 'are not connected', how much time is spent looking at a computer or smart phone screeen rather than looking into the eyes of our loved ones, or taking in all the beauty, or creating ... more
