You would think by the number of times that Shadow (pictured on the right) jumps up and lays on my work folders and notebooks, or even on top of calculators and pens, that my desk and everything on it was as soft as a down comforter.  Certainly, as a multiple cat household, there are many places were Shadow could rest where he would be more comfortable.  Unfortunately, his people are not often by those beds.  They are busy working to pay the bills, and so he jumps up and makes himself comfortable wherever we are.
The three year old son of some recent buyers seemed as though he was going to have some trouble adjusting to his new home.  The thought of leaving the only home he's ever known seemed to terrify him.  Yet, on closing day, there he was smiling in his new home with Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa buzzing around him getting things in order.  Changing locks, Cleaning bathrooms.  Hanging curtains.  All the fear of his new home had drifted away.  When I asked him if he wanted to go back to his old home he said, "No.  I want ... more
