I think of trade offs as the exchange of one thing for another and its just part of life.   We do it all the time with out thinking, but for some reason, when it comes to a real estate purchase some buyers hit the brakes.  
During this real estate career of 25 years, I do believe that every person making a real estate purchase makes a trade off.   While one might think that a very high end buyer will end up with every thing they desire in a home, they too make trade offs.  Even when custom designing and building a property one might have to make a decision between something that will result in a trade off.   Could be placement or elevation of the home.   Anything, but usually something.
