Palos Verdes Concours D'Elegance Pleasure Road Rallye

On Saturday, September 15, 2012, the Palos Verdes Concours D’Elegance Pleasure Road Rallye will be taking place and this year it will be highlighting the history of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.  It will start at the Rolling Hills Country Club with lunch and registration from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and participants will get a bit of history of the Peninsula.  At 1:00 p.m. the actual “Pleasure Road Rallye” will begin with “Finding the Jewels.”   This is a rallye game in which participants will be driving to some of the historical places located here on the Peninsula and rally points can be scored based on trivia.  Some of these historic spots will include the Fort Mac Aurthur Military Base and Museum, the Malaga Cove Plaza and the Palos Verdes Golf Club.  While the rest of the sites are a secret, stunning views will be enjoyed while winding through our Peninsula roads.  You will be stopping at different historical locations and will finish at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates where a reception will be held honoring this year’s Grand Marshals Merle and Peter Mullin, who are classic auto collectors and restorers extraordinaire.  To read more about ... more
