When Time Is Your Only Weight.
In the past couple weeks, a local property management company was placed “on hold” because of a substantial amount of funds discovered “missing” during an audit from a trust account that held owners monies.  As things unveiled, owners realized they probably won’t get their upcoming rents, started looking around for other property management companies to take over their rental investment.
Each owner who called my property management company asked that same question, “How can I trust you?”
There are many things people can say about why you should trust them: track record, integrity, references, experiences, etc.  But it really comes down to one thing: time.
Time is what develops trust.  Because it takes time to see the actions of things and people – it’s the process for building or re-building.
Along with that, time can be the only weight many of us have for so many things: life struggles, pain, devastation, life changes, disappointments, hurt, decisions, even raising children, being anxious about something, or on a day like today, 9/11 – sometimes only time is the answer that will bring trust or a bright spot during cloudy times.
