National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day: 9/29/12
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day: 9/29/12
Take a look in your medicine cabinet.  Do you have any unused, expired or unwanted prescription drugs? Do NOT flush them down the toilet! Do NOT throw them in the trash!  Both of these options are potential health and safety hazards! So, what do you do? Bring those prescription drugs to your local law enforcement location, of course! Not sure where to go? Find a more information and collection site near you.
On April 28th of this year, responsible citizens turned in a record-breaking 552,161 pounds (276 tons) of unwanted prescription drugs.  More than 5659 law enforcement agencies and community partners participated in this event. Outstanding!
The Parker (Colorado) Police Department, located at 18600 E. Lincoln Meadows Parkway (across from Lowes), will be participating in this event which takes place on Saturday, September 29, 2012 between 10am and 2pm.  The service is FREE and anonymous.
Items that CANNOT be dropped off include needles and sharps, mercury thermometers, chemotherapy and radioacive substances, pressurized cainsters and illicit drugs.

For more local information, please call Officer Dawn Cashman @ 303.841.9800.
