Bob Hope Home Listed for Sale in Palm Springs
Do you want to own the most iconic home in PALM SPRINGS?
Bob and Dolores Hope's iconic mushroom-shaped home is now on the market for a rumored "45 Million".  According to real estate agent David Mossler, the estate is listed through Partners Trust out of Beverly Hills.
The two-story, 22,000 square-foot steel, concrete and glass structure, perched atop the mountains on Southridge Drive, has just hit the market for the first time.
The “spaceship” looking house, with its mushroom-shaped roof, was originally designed by John Lautner in 1973 and built in 1979. It is said to have cost the Hopes $2 million to build the home.
It has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Incorporating the natural surroundings into the home, a huge bolder juts out of the floor of the living room. There are also 3 golf holes behind the home that Bob had built for practice.
Lautner is also the designer of the Elrod House that sits directly below the Hope Home.
“The Hopes liked Arthur Elrod’s house so much they built a larger version,” Hal Broderick, Elrod’s longtime business partner said.
