Optimist or Pessimist, Do I Be

Recently I took a PepoMeter quiz in a popular magazine.  I turned out to be a moderate optimist,  neither being a die-hard down in the dumper nor a bipolar sky diver.  Each morning we awake anew with what thoughts for the day?  Since I awoke at 3 AM this morning I've had some time already to contemplate what I need to do for the day, and the list seems immense.  Thankfully I have already completed 2 of the less desirable tasks, (so rewarded myself by going to Active Rain). 
Whether we are optimists or pessimists can depend on the time of the day (and on how that day is going).  Most seem to wake up to a new day with a fresh start of optimism.  As the day wears on it seems that we deplete that initial batch of enthusiasmum and move to a more pessimistic disposition.  I am just wondering how those I see so optimistic later in the day manage it.  Either they are having a great and productive day or maybe they just slept till 11AM and are just getting started for the day?????
Hey at least if I get up at 3AM I'll be able to see the sunrise.....
