Sharing some "Africanrain" with fellow "Rainers"
I was wondering how many of you have ever had the opportunity to visit Africa? I happen to have been born in Johannesburg, South Africa and although I have been living in Vancouver, Canada for the past 22 years, one cannot get Africa out of one's system. The Game Parks, the savannah vegetation and the orange-red sunsets with the leaves rustling in an ever so faint breeze while watching the sun disappear behind the horizon, form an indelible imprint on one's mind.
For those of you that have been to Africa, I was wondering if you have ever experienced an African thunderstorm while there. The thunderstorm clouds can sometimes reach 38,000 feet. The thunder and lightning is deafening and quite frightening. 
For ALL of you, more so if you have not been to Africa, I invite you to listen to the following clever YouTube video which a friend sent me on what the rain sounds like in Africa. The rain can start off very softly then build up to a torrential downpour. This video is only 1 min 49 secs, so I suggest you look at it, first with sound turned up loud and then play it one more time.
