The Annual Route 11 Yard Sale Crawl.
The Frederick and Shenandoah County portions of Rt 11 South are a yard sale dream come true today.  If you're a bargain hunter, hop in the car and travel the 43 miles of yard sales going on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 7:00 am til the sellers close up shop. The yard sale begins at Stephens City, VA and travels all the way south to New Market, VA.
The Route 11 Yard Crawl has become an annual event in the valley, and it draws people from all around, including other states. The sellers have everything from the typical toys and clothes to craft items, World War II memorabilia, NASCAR souvenirs, and a seemingly unlimited host of other treasures. It's a great time to drive through the valley and see the beauty, and maybe you'll pick up a bargain or two.
