Thankful For Our Community's Views: The Dogs Of Santa Barbara!

We were stopped at a red light on our way to lunch, at Kanaloa seafood in Santa Barbara.  As Ron looked over, he grabbed my phone to take a picture of this adorable duo!
 
Santa Barbara is a dog loving community.  When you walk on State Street (the downtown main street) many of the businesses have big water bowls, and a treat jar for dogs.  Our beaches and parks have free poop bag dispensers, and the majority of the owners have those attached to the leashes.  
 
Our shelters work hard to place dogs.  They are a No-Kill facility, and exist with city and country funds, great volunteers and donations from the public. The same is true of our cat shelters.
 
Ron and I are thankful to be living in a community that cares for all creatures. This includes wildlife rehab and rescue, as well as keeping our ocean waters clear by having numerous filters for water that flows into the ocean.  This protects spawning grounds, spiny lobster, shrimp, mussels, seals, sea lions, dolphins, whales, and all other sea life that pass through our waters.
