Christmas at Ft. Defiance in Clarksville, TN- 2016
Once Again Christmas in Occupied Clarksville TN 
Again this year Fort Defiance is having a celebration depicting a Christmas during the occupied years. These were the times during the Civil War when Christmases were simple and nothing much more than a special meal, a piece of candy or a small gift. Christmas in Occupied Clarksville is a special event.
The day is Sunday, December 11th from 4-6pm you can step back in time and see a Christmas from the past. The park at Fort Defiance Civil War and Interpretive Center is hosting this event and the public is invited.
Refreshments will be served, Christmas carols sung, games for the kids, crafting opportunities that children will love, period Christmas Trees and even a Santa makes an appearance. Families and friends are invited to attend this free event. If you go once you will want to go every year. 
The Fort Defiance Civil War and Interpretive Center is open year round and has displays and a short film to tell you about Clarksville during the Civil War. The park overlooks the river and Clarksville which was the perfect spot to do surveillance during the war. This fort was occupied by both Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War.
