10 days of Gratitude, Day 8, My Friend Jack
Hard to believe that it has been nearly 5 years since this furry friend adopted me as his human.
I was not looking for a dog for myself when I met Jack, but his story was a sad one and he latched onto me instantly and my heart said that I had to say Yes. So I did.
Amazing the devotion and dependence that he has for me spending every moment by my side regardless of how far I go.
Spending his days under my desk, his nights by my bed, or under my recliner.
Tromping through the woods with me in all areas of the country.
When I leave for a few minutes or a few hours I know that he will be meeting me at the door with plenty of kisses and hugs, and then will do this comical shepherding thing to get me into my office.
It is an amazing bond, a bond between a dog and his human.
Today I am grateful for my friend Jack!
