A Farmhouse Gets New Life in Newtown, CT Back in June of 2015, we listed a home for sale - 9 Bennetts Bridge Road, Sandy Hook.  This home had been owned by the Kearns family since 1936 when they purchased it from Charles Beardsley.  The Kearns family were local dairy farmers for many years. 
The home was built in 1875 and was just 989 Square Feet with a large unfinished storage room in the rear of it - a keeping room.  8 Kearns children were raised in this home.

As Realtors, we drive around town all the time - some areas more than others and that can change given where our business is.  We were recently past 9 Bennetts Bridge and were pleasantly surprised with the work the new owners have put in place.  We only viewed the outside of the home and are curious to see the completed project when it's done.
