Your Opinion of Me is None of My Business
My sunglasses have pretty cool powers. They reflect the world back to the viewer. I might be looking at the same image that is reflected in my sunglasses, or I could be staring elsewhere. You certainly don't know what I'm thinking because thoughts are unique to each, based on our own experiences, knowledge, and methods of processing.
I'm not wearing any makeup. My hair is a complete mess, and I don't care what others think of me as their opinions are their own. They're not mine. I don't take ownership of that. Never much have. So, it's not an age thing, you know, where women get to be a certain age and come into their own. I've always been like this.
Your opinion of me is none of my business. And that's the message I relayed to the Sacramento reporter who called to interview me while I was comfy curled up in a cabana on a Maui beach last week.
