I don't have to go far to find my first thankfulness because it comes from the very person who is running the 12 day challenge on thankfulness.
 
Every two years my US Navy submarine, that has long since been scrapped has a reunion. Our ship, the USS Ethan Allen SSBN 608, only served for 23 years before it was decommissioned. We have been trying to find certain members of our crew for many, many years. The searching has been long and tenuous. Which brings me to my first blog post of thankfulness.
 
 
In Late July up 2017 we got a clue we're one of our shipmates which I served with for three and a half years was. I have not seen this person since his going away party in 1981. How many hours had been spent following leads but never amounted to anything. However in July of this year someone had seen that our friend might live in clarksville Tennessee.
