No More Bikinis For Me

 
Haaaaaa....like I'd ever have worn a bikini to start with!  I'm more of a trunks guy except for that mandatory four years with a blue and gold Speedo during my Annapolis days!  I was what was known as an aqua rock...swimming was never my strong suit, I could do just enough to pass but not much better!
Last February I attempted to get an umbilical hernia repaired and that didn't turn out as expected.  A diagnosis of atrial fibrillation just prior to starting surgery meant a cancellation and some changes for me and a handful of meds to take on a daily basis.  The Cliff Notes version is the meds do their job, instances of afib are down to about once every few months and typically just for a few hours.  I eased up slightly on my dual career lifestyle (so fewer transactions overall, but I passed on a fair number of "red flag" prospects and referred out some others).
The hernia bump grew a bit until it was golf ball sized and we'd nicknamed it Kuato (Total Recall reference for you sci fi fans).  I stalled a bit getting the hernia repair done until we got past gardening/yardwork season.
