Canadians favor the south shore of Maui - Kihei, Wailea, Makena Californians prefer west Maui - Launiupoko, Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili and  more Washington and California buyers predominate as foreign buyers on Maui Maui is way different than Oahu when it comes to buyers!
