ActiveRain Cowgirls & Boys Meet-Up in Dallas, Texas
 
I took, what I thought might be a 'dare' to bring my cowboy boots to Dallas, seriously and did! So, of course, I had to wear them to the meet-up, Dallas style - right?!
 
The first day of the CRS Sell-a-bration was packed with classes and of course, the Super Bowl game! Unfortunately, the place was so packed, I couldn't spot one single ActiveRain member so, I anxiously awaited the meet-up the following evening. I took a self-guided tour of the fabulous grounds of the resort, the Gaylord Texan, so that finding my way around and back to my room (the place was enormous) wouldn't require me to look at the map of the grounds the entire time! What a fantastic resort - I highly recommend it if you're ever visiting Dallas.
 
The following day was the beginning of the main event and I quickly found my Carlsbad friend, Jeff Dowler and my 'class buddy,' Lisa Von Domek! We all were anxiously awaiting the ActiveRain meet-up and the classes flew by on Monday for us. Lisa & I had some great Texas bar-b-que at one of the hotel restaurants for lunch and returned to a short afternoon of classes. ... more
