Love is in Air Part 1

 
One of my favorite transactions was my one of my first. This sweet young couple came in with their realtor. They were relocating from Chicago in 90 days and had 3 days to find a home for their young family. He had served in the army, and I love my vets. 
 
They came back on day 3 and said this is the home we want! We wrote up the contract only a couple of caveats they wanted tile floor and granite countertops, but they had no time and to go to the design center. The young man piped up "You dress nice and have style you pick it out for us." Being new to the industry I said sure. I got so many calls from my more tenured collegaues asking me if I really did agree to pick those things out for the buyer and I said yes. I would never do that now, I know too many pitfalls.
 
It came for them to close and walk their home they loved it! They were so grateful they got me a closing gift!
 
Fastforward 7 years later, I am now with another builder and it is time for these young people to upgrade. She walked ... more
