Working With Those You Love
Much discussion has taken place in real estate forums, including ActiveRain, about working with family and friends. My comment is, and has always been, that I wouldn't want my family or friends to work with anyone else - I want to be the one to take care of them!
 
That said, THE most demanding, persnickety, Type-A member of my family, has to be my hubby! He's sweet, kind and giving but, is a shrewd businessman! Building a home is not something that most couples do with ease. From the beginning, Ray said, "I really don't want to move so, this is your baby - I'm just along for the ride!" 
 
My first thought was, "Yeah, right!" Anything to do with business and finance, he's a whiz at and WILL take control after about a minute! 
 
THE PRE-APPROVAL
I have 5 lender partners who I have trusted over the years and one of them specializes in construction-to-perm loans. We still let my other partners know that we were going to use the CTP lender and none offered anything other than, "That is exactly who I would recommend!"
