Grumpy Cat And I STILL Agree... We Hate Daylight Savings Time!

How much do I hate Daylight Savings Time? I ask this question each year and the answer each year is that there are probably not enough words in the English language to express my hatred of it! This morning I was awake before 4:00 am, working by 5:30 am and it was still dark out there at 7:30 am! I don't get why early mornings should feel like the middle of the night and not the start of a new day!  There's something totally uncivilized about it! And why do I still feel I have sand in my eyes hours later when I never feel that way? Grumpy Cat and I totally agreed on this last year and we STILL agree this year... we hate, hate, hate Daylight Savings Time.
 
Apparently it takes people a good three weeks to get physically adjusted to Daylight Saving Time and that the number of heart attacks and strokes, accidents and sleep problems significantly increase in the days following Daylight Saving Time. Is it really worth all this for what most everyone admits doesn't really save a lot on energy costs? One study showed that the economic cost from lost productivity and health issues ranges from $400 million to as much as $2 billion. Is it really worth all this ... more
