Open Houses
In recent weeks I've talked with REALTORS I know in different market areas and heard polar opposite views on holding open houses. Our Market Center Team Leader says not to do them is throwing away opportunity and a successful Realtor in the Ft. Worth area says she would never do one and sways her Listing Clients away from them forcibly. My own experiences with open houses have as most who do them can relate been mixed. Sometimes noone shows up and other times I find buyers who are not represented. It seems just a few of these would make the experience worthwhile, although sitting in an empty house for three or more hours on a weekend when noone comes by is frustrating. What seems to be the difference is preparation and sign placement but these days with the gloom and doom press nationwide nothing works sometimes. What are your positive experiences and advice.
