Clay County has many places to launch a boat to access the St. Johns River, Doctor's Lake and Black Creek.
There is a public boat ramp at the end of Lakeshore Drive on Fleming Island just outside Eagle Harbor. It is equipped with dock, bathrooms and ample parking.
At the other end of Fleming Island, Knight's Marina at the head of Black Creek is available for public launching, with store.
Head down to Green Cove Springs on Highway 17, and there is a public launch just north of Governor's Creek and another one at the Shand's Pier off of Highway 16. 
There are Private Boat Launches at Doctor's Lake Marina and Fleming Island Marina at the North end of Fleming Island and also at Whitey's Fish Camp at the end of Doctor's Lake and beginning of Swimming Pen Creek.
Middleburg residents can launch their boats into Black Creek at the public ramp at the end of Main Street off Blanding Blvd. and off C R 209 at the end of Old Ferry Rd in the Doctors Inlet/Ridgewood area.
