Tony Tours the Town - Concord NC - Boy Scout Troop 38
A Boy Scout is:
trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
All great qualities I want to see in my son. He is part of Troop 38 out of Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church located at 6881 Poplar Tent Road in Concord NC.
                            

 
Three times a year, they hold what is called a Court of Honor. This is when the scouts receive pins, patches, and badges they have earned during the prior months.
 
My son walked away with a Merit badge for Communications and a patch for earning his 1st Class rank (his 4th rank earned in one year!).
 
All the boys did well.
 
 

 
 
After the ceremony, the scouts, with their families, sat down to partake in some food and drink supplied by the families.
This is always a great time to meet or catch up with other scouts' parents.
I hope noone noticed I went back for thirds! lol
 
 
Troop 38 is run by dedicated leaders. They truly care about the boys and their futures. I couldn't be happier with my son's scouting experience thus far. On occassion, I attend a campout or scout function and I really ... more
