It's not you - it's me
Dear 2008, In the beginning when the weather started getting warmer it was looking like 2008 might have been the year that could have made up for 2007.  (Which was a tough year).  I really hoped this was it!  I had been through some tough times in 2007 and I was ready to move on.  The down time in the early part of the year gave me a chance to get organized and when things did start picking up in February or March I was prepared and ready to go.  In May one of my sons returned and got out of the service, transactions were picking up, I think I closed four in April, interest rates were decent I was really enjoying 2008.
However, as the summer wagered on it seemed like the beginning of the year was the highlight.  In fact for the past few months it has pretty much sucked.  Transactions fell apart and mortgage guidelines changed.  It became harder for a buyer to qualify and sellers did not want to reduce their prices.  I can't blame them for that.
