They're Here! The General Store is Open at Forest Glen
Finally, after years of being vacant, the quaint old Forest Glen Landmark has had quite the facelift and is getting a fresh start. The structure built in 1918 was Formerly the Forest Glen Country Store where they sold candy, treats, crafts, souveniers, nick naks and at one time had a small lunch cafe. The owners of the former popular Colorado Kitchen in DC have opened a charming, southern style casual restaurant complete with "down home" atmosphere.  I love how they have kept the same basic layout, architectural features and old hardwood floors.  Check out the real stuffed bear on the piano at the front entrance from a Taxidermist in Pennsylvania.
