New Star in Fort Worth... Shelly Slater's on Channel 8 Weekend News
The Fort Worth/Dallas area has always been know for its beautiful women.  It appears that one of it's finest may be simmering along... perhaps someday to flee the DFW coop and hit the "big time."
Last weekend I was watching the local news... rather than all that nonsense-news on cable.  While flipping the local channels... I made a very pleasant discovery.
       
Channel Eight... WFAA... has a weekend news anchor... who is both gorgeous and sharp.  Her name is Shelly Slater. I really do not know how long she has been on the air here... but I only discovered her last weekend.
I stumbled upon her by accident, as I mentioned above... but now on weekends I make sure that I tune in to her news programs.  I think she is on both Saturday afternoons at 5:00pm... and at 10:00pm.  If you live in the DFW area... you might want to sample her weekend news program.  This woman is sharp !
