It used to be either pay taxes on your income or pay a higher mortgage interest rate on a stated program.  Now it's pay taxes on your income if you want a rate - period.  I believe the eyes were opened by those in the government at how many people do not file taxes on earned income.  Maybe that had something to do with the Feds guidelines issued in July 07.  It seems like the solution is pretty clear for those that really would qualify if they claimed all their earned income - pay taxes.  What really kicks the mortgage industry … (1 comments)

It doesn't matter if you're shopping for a home loan or not you can't ignore the swarm of mortgage ads on the television or internet, in the newspaper or mail and even via fax.  Many of these ads are false, misleading, and even illegal.  Know what to look for when sifting through advertisements so you don't get caught up in a whirlwind of empty promises.

Any news on Countrywide reducing Maximum LTV? - 02/07/08 05:55 PM
I was in a real estate office today and was told by a few agents that Countrywide would no longer make 100% LTV loans.  I'm looking for some type of confirmation or information that would clarify if this is true.

Informational Marketing Ads - 02/05/08 01:12 PM
My mortgage coach told me once that I wasn't in the mortgage business. He said, "You're in the marketing business.  You already know how to do loans."  I'm pretty sure he was right.  I've tried just about everything over the past 5 years from radio, television, real estate guides, etc. I recently ran an informational type ad that looks somewhat like a mini article in a local newspaper.  I received a fair number of calls for a small investment of $200 a month.  The company I work for ran an ad in the same newspaper for over a year and never … (2 comments)
