The Santa Fe Trail is a road to opportunity. It began as a wagon train trail connection from the frontier of Missouri to Santa Fe when Santa Fe existed outside the United States as a city in Mexico. From 1821 to 1880, the trail was the a path to a new life in the frontier. Back then the pioneers were not on Facebook or using smartphones. Stories triggered their imagination to guide them West. They left our country to make a difference in their lives by settling in a new frontier without knowing what would happen next. For many, (16 comments)

What is it like to be in the cloud (iCloud) and get your car brakes fixed at the same time? The best answer I can think of is safety heaven. The good thing about all our high tech communication tools is we are always connected. The bad thing is we are always connected. The bottom line is what is what is connecting usntomeach other? At this moment, I am connecting to you, watching other people in the wait area tap on their phones, while listening to the human voices of mechanics talking about everything but real estate. What does it all (14 comments)
Thinking About Grandmothers... - 05/13/12 05:56 PM
There is something about Mother’s Day that takes me back to remembering my grandmothers. I was named after both of them and somehow they seem to be more present on this day. One of them died in childbirth and I never actually knew her. I just heard all the stories about her which found a home in my imagination. My other grandmother spoke very little English, yet her presence was profound as the matriarch in my extended family. What I learned from both of them was priceless. From the grandmother I never met, I learned life was precious. Life was to (25 comments)

I confess, I stop for flowers. In fact, I think it could be an addiction. This yellow poppy was in bloom this morning just after sunrise. In fact, she just jumped out of the shadows at me as a I turned the corner to walk into our Santa Fe Properties office. I find the best way to not get overwhelmed by technology is to use it to pass flowers forward. Enjoy this yellow (12 comments)

My Take: Housing Isn't Getting Worse! - 05/01/12 09:00 PM
There is not a lot of time to think lately as it appears many of our "local" real estate markets are re-discovering two words - demand and supply.Yet, the majority of buyers still think it is 2011 and many of the seller are stuck in 2006. And given everyone is online, I am more in change reaction mode with barely a minute to focus on the present shift in play. Now my new line when I find myself standing in line somewhere in Santa Fe for either groceries, gas, more file folders, maybe even ice cream is to say "housing isn't (9 comments)
