It is so important that Sellers understand why Open Houses are not the way forward with regard to getting their home sold. This post of Tina's states very clearly why a re-think is required on the part of Sellers and their agents. Thanks Tina!

There once was a lovely property that would not sell. On the market it sat for more years then I care to say. It was NOT listed with me but I did show it on occassion. It seems I was the only one who showed it because when the listing expired (finally) I was called to list it for sale. Now this story took place 3 years ago. Within 1 month I had a Buyer with an offer to purchase. The Buyers, who made the first offer to us, lost out because their agent couldn't get their existing home sold in time. … (26 comments)
