susanemosellshomes: Provide 16 year olds with Credit Cards? - 03/10/10 11:22 AM
What do you think?  Is a 16 year old mature enough to handle the responsibility of a Credit Card?
In a recent article "Provide 16 year olds with credit cards", financial expert Mellody Hobson of Ariel Capital Management says, "teens as young as 16 should be given the chance to charge."   (I'm guessing she doesn't have children!)

Now I'm not a parent, nor do I play one on TV, but am I the only one that thinks this spells disaster?  I have very vivid memories of what it was like being 16.  Don't start to tell me how times have … (26 comments)

susanemosellshomes: On Your Journey - 02/21/09 04:25 PM
I turned the page on my calendar today to find this wonderful message by Jacqueline Schiff
Take These Thoughts with You on the Journey to Your Goals:
Don't ever forget that you are unique.  Be your best self and not an imitation of someone else.  Find your strengths and use them in a positive way.  Don't listen to those who ridicule the choices you make.  Travel the road that you have chosen and don't look back with regret.  You have to take chances to make your dreams happen.  Remember that there is plenty of time to travel another road - and still … (22 comments)

One winter morning in Gananoque, Ontario a couple was listening to the radio while eating breakfast. They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the snow plows can get through." Norman's wife went out and moved her car.
A week later while they were again eating breakfast, the radio announcer said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snow plows can get through."Norman's wife … (15 comments)

susanemosellshomes: Our Annual Employment grew eight times national rate - 01/15/09 08:55 AM
According to a report in our local paper, The Greater Kingston Area is in better condition economically then we were led to believe.
Annual employment grew eight times national rate - Employment growth in Kingston was clocked at 4.8% - compared to just 0.6% nationally.  According to Statistics Canada, Kingston's job market jumped by 3,700 full-and part-time positions from December 2007 to December 2008.
Perhaps reflecting that trend, this week a Kingston business announced the acquisition of majority shares in Zoom Airlines, a transaction that will bring about two dozen jobs to Kingston.
Also noted, the area is proud to have 12 new … (12 comments)

susanemosellshomes: BIG QUESTIONS TO BOOST YOUR BUSINESS - 01/04/09 03:03 PM
I'm a fan of asking questions.  I don't think you can ever ask too many.  I believe especially in our business, we need to blend our personal lives with our day to day business to create great results in both areas.  To achieve this blend effectively, we must continually question what we're doing and how we're spending our time.  What's the fit between your business and personal life?
These are the Top 35 questions I'm answering in my business this week:
If you had to describe yourself in a single phrase, what would that be? What values are important to you? How … (6 comments)
