If you've already taken down your Christmas tree, The Town of Gananoque Public Works Dept is offering curbside pickup!
Simply leave your tree on the curb, sans decorations of course, and it will be picked up and taken to be used for the Big Burn night during the Pondaplooza Weekend, February 17th 2012
If you would prefer to drop yours off rather than have it collected, you can add it to the huge pile of trees behind the Gananoque Rec Centre!

If you haven't yet finished your shopping, take a look at these fantastic, locally made, mittens by Angie Fodey of "Naturally sMITTen" in Lansdowne. I purchased two pairs for gifts but I know I'll be back for more - they really are a wonderful gift item for everyone on your list!
They are all handmade from recycled materials such as old wool sweaters for the outer layer and a fuzzy warm fleece for the interior liner. The liners are removable, which makes for faster drying times too.
