Kiss Me Kate - Watching the Royal Wedding - 04/29/11 11:11 AM
Kiss Me Kate - Watching the Royal Wedding!  I have to admit that I got up at 2 a.m. Colorado time to watch this historical event.  As the invited guests arrived at Wesminster Abbey, we were able to glimpse all of the wedding finery, especially the hats.  And I mean HATS!  Colorful, elegant, outrageous and some downright ugly.
Catherine was absolutely regal as she walked down the aisle to marry her prince. Her smile lit up the entire cathedral.  After the ceremony, the crowd gathered outside Buckingham Palace for the traditional "First Kiss."

And then came The Kiss

The CRS Network is a money making machine! - 04/21/11 04:42 PM
After looking over the past few years, I have determined that the CRS Network is money making machine!  Not necessarily for me, but for brokers who value my opinion and look to me for guidance.
Over the past few years (too many to  count), I have received so many calls from peers who know that I have been and am still active in the CRS network.  The Council of Residential Specialists consists of the top 3-4 % of Realtors in the United States. Those brokers who have earned the CRS designation make substantially more than the typical real estate agent....for more … (1 comments)

Good Repairs make for a feel good almost new Car! - 04/21/11 04:02 PM
Having just spent a lot of money, I have decided that good repairs make for a feel good almost new car. We Realtors, often forget how important our vehicle is to our livelihood.  How many hours do we spend in our cars, whether by ourselves or taking clients around to view homes throughout our neighborhoods?
For me, I live in Lakewood which is just 10 minutes from downtown Denver.  However, due to my real estate career, so much of my business is from referrals and past clients, most of whom live in the foothills west of Denver. I spend many hours … (0 comments)

Aaargh! - 04/17/11 01:06 PM
Aaargh! was the word of the day as my husband and I visited the Denver Museum of Nature and Science yesterday to view "The Pirates" exhibit. Photographs were not allowed within the exhibit but I was able to take several photos of the displays outside.

As you wander through the exhibit, you learn the story of the discovery of the Wyndah and all of its treasures. Beautifully presented and complemented by the volunteers who offered stories and more in-depth details.

If you are in the Denver area, make a point to see this wonderful exhibit. The … (2 comments)

Welcome Home - 04/17/11 12:44 PM
Welcome home, Mama Robin!  Last year, a robin built a nest in one of our flowering pear trees in our front yard. Sure enough, soon she had two babies peeking their beeks over the edge of the nest. Watching them from afar was truly fun and I was able to photograph them as they developed.

It is mid-April, crocus, tulips and daffodils are making beautiful displays in our gardens. I sure hope Mama Robin will return this year. Her presence in my yard enhanced my life.

2011 Denver Car Show - 04/04/11 03:57 PM
My husband and I attended the Denver Car Show this past weekend. It was so much fun to see all of the new models under one roof.

As you can see, I had a great time photographing elements of the cars.  Can you figure out which cars the headlights, interiors or dashboards belong to?  The Chevy Equinox caught my eye as a good vehicle for working my mountain listings or for doing road trips with camping gear and our dog, Jake.  For fun, the BMW captured my heart. Enjoy!

Watch out for potential bogus mailing - 04/04/11 02:48 PM
Today in the mail, I received two very important looking envelopes which, in my opinion, is a potential bogus mailing. The return address was from "Corporate Controllers Unit" with a distinguishing looking logo. The one, single sheet of paper was advising Corporations (LLC, Sub-S, etc) that they must file a Periodic Report and failure to do so would result in penalty fees, etc.
For ONLY $225/yr., they would make sure that your form is submitted in a timely manner. Well, it just so happens, I had received about a week ago a notice from the Secretary of State letting me know … (3 comments)
